From Phuket it goes to Satun, at the land border with Malaysia: a minivan collects passengers from hotels from 04:00, the stamp at the checkpoint takes 5–15 minutes, and you are back on the island by evening. No boat is involved and your passport is the only document needed. Visa fees are not part of the trip price.
